About MLS Projects
Licensed builders in Cairns since 2021.
MLS Projects has been building across Cairns and Far North Queensland since 2021, for homeowners, landlords and commercial clients. The business holds a QBCC builder licence and is owned and run by Matt, a carpenter by trade, who prices every job and stays accountable for it through to handover.
Who does the work
Our own crew, with the owner accountable for every job.
The work is done by our own crew and licensed trades. Like most Far North Queensland builders, we handle more than timber: concreting, steelwork and welding, roofing and cladding are all done in-house. Electrical and plumbing work is strictly for licensed electricians and plumbers, who work to our schedule and our standard.
Residential or commercial, every job runs the same way: the owner prices it, our crew builds it, and one business is accountable from quote to handover. We are insured for $20 million public liability and are members of Master Builders Queensland.
Most of what we build suits Far North Queensland: cyclone-rated patios, carports, pergolas and decks, plus fencing, bathrooms, extensions and commercial fit-outs around Cairns.

We quote what we build
Itemised quotes with allowances called out. If something changes on site you hear about it before it costs you money.
We turn up
A start date and a finish date in writing, and a site run to that schedule.
We build for here
Cyclone rating, termites, humidity and salt air are not add-ons. They are the job.
We say no when we should
If a repair is not worth doing or a design will not get approved, we tell you before you spend anything.

Matt comes out, measures up and talks through what will and won't work on your block. No sales visit, no pressure.

A written, itemised quote
Fixed where it can be fixed, with allowances called out where it can't. You see what you are paying for.

Design, build and handover
Where the job needs drawings, engineering or approval, we handle it. Then our crew builds it to schedule, cleans up and hands over.
